Help! My game is frozen on the sims 3?

Two of my sims just ogt married on the sims 3 and it came up with the box that says which house you want them to live in and I clicked the 'make active household' box on the house they're already in and then the tick, and now it's STILL loading after about half an hour I haven't saved the game :( PLEASE is there anything I can do to make it unfreeze? I can still move around the screen and everything but it's just not loading!
